Homeopathy is a system of medicine established in Germany in the 18th century by the physician Samuel Hahnemann. It has since spread to all continents and is the most popular form of Complementary and Alternative medicine (CAM) in the world.
It is practiced by both physicians and non-physicians and is incorporated into the health-care system of many countries. Homeopathy utilizes the body’s own healing power through a law of cure, termed The Law Of Similars, or Like Cures Like. A substance that can produce symptoms when given in small doses to healthy people will cure similar symptoms in sick people.
Homeopathy can treat all forms of acute and chronic conditions and seeks to always look at the whole person, both mind and body and establish the root causes of disease.
To Support
The aim is to support the continuing development of traditional homeopathic practice, based on the work of the founder of homeopathy, Samuel Hahnemann.
To Connect
We seek to connect with the existing homeopathic community in Ghana and with the global homeopathic community, through organizations such as Homeopathy in Africa (HIA), and the International Council for Homeopathy (ICH).
To Explore
We will also explore connections with other homeopathic communities in other African countries, looking to see how homeopathy can be integrated into the healthcare systems in different African countries.
